Welcome to the 18th Annual Steinway Young Artist Competition, sponsored by Steinway of Chicago. The competition offers students valuable performance and educational opportunities as well as scholarship awards to the top 8 winners. There are two divisions: Solo Piano and Concerto. The winner of the Concerto division will have the opportunity to perform with the Ars Viva Orchestra.
There is no minimum age requirement. The maximum age is a high school senior (age 18).
This year's judges are Dr. Brian Lee and Dr. Cameron Smith.
The competition will be held at Steinway of Chicago, 1205A Butterfield Road, Downers Grove, Illinois on Friday, January 16, Saturday, January 17, and Sunday, January 18, 2009.
Concerto Competition finals will be held on Sunday, January 25th.
